gcc 2.95.3 is available on the existing BeOS 5 -- I don't think gcc 3.x
will be available until the R2 version of OBOS <open source be os
project> is out.  I believe however that gcc 3 will work on the Atheos-
Be derived Cosmoe project, and the BlueEyedOS project, since both are
using limux kernels - the latter projects are trying to keep source
compatability rather than binary compatability with  BeOS 5, and are
willing to break binary compatability.  OBOS, at beunited.org, is
focusing on binary compatability until they hav reproduced the OS as
open source, and will then move ahead with gcc 3
