Hello Adrian and y'all, > We're going to need a good way of tracking bugs, > feature requests and submitted patches. The best > tool for this that I've found is bugzilla so > unless someone has a particular preference for > something else, I'd like to set up a bugzilla > installation for FreeCard.
For what it is worth, Bugzilla sounds good to me! ;-) > The question is, where do we want to set it up? Of the three alternatives proposed, I prefer the 2nd one where Adrian sets it up on his company's server "which has plenty of speed and disk space". But the kicker for me is "I have plenty of experience setting up bugzilla", e.g. *I* don't have this bugzilla experience so we would be better off with Adrian & his co server. Plus it is so intimately related to the actual programming in which he is our natural leader. > I can set it up in our Sourceforge web hosting > (response times tend to be fairly slow and it > may wind up taking up more disk space than > sourceforge would really like)... Judging by what you wrote above, Adrian, this seems like the worst alternative of the three. > I can set it up on my company's server which has > plenty of speed and disk space. You've got my vote! ;-) > or perhaps Alain would like to set it up and add > it to the impressive infrastructure that he has > donated to the FreeCard project. It's very kind of you to put it that way, Adrian. Thanks for the nod. Should I bow or something? ;-) Just kiddin. The "impressive" infrastructure (a combo of me + LCA) is indeed at our disposal, utterly so, without any limits, for anything involving FreeCard. If this 3rd alternative is deemed the best one, then we will find a way to make it practical, e.g. compensate for my lack of experience with bugzilla. > It's also not a high priority but is something that > will eventually need to be added to the todo list. Say when! > Regards, > Adrian Sutton There are some really *hot* things which are brewing in the FreeCard kettle. Expect the whistle to 'screech' any time now. :)) Alain __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
