Follow-up Comment #3, bug #15409 (project freeciv):
You should also remember that civ & ser scripts are only helper scripts to
run freeciv from source directory. They are not installed as part of Freeciv.
Translations on the other hand are not usable from source directory - they
have to be installed.
So the issue of civ script translation arises only when you have installed
one instance of Freeciv, but are running another instance from source
directory.
