Details:
I wanted to see that freeciv is doing all the time - and added profiling to
--enable-debug.
I did not analyze the data (yet). But the possibility is there after this
patch.
Usage:
* compile freeciv with '--enable-debug=gprof'
* run it (./ser); quit it normally
* generate the profiling data 'gprof ./server/freeciv-server gmon.out >
gprof.txt'
The idea comes from a mail to the freeciv-dev list by Goswin von Brederlow
(title: 'multiple use of arguments in MACROS and not inlined functions' from
23.09.2009 15:18).
