Follow-up Comment #2, patch #2302 (project freeciv):
The Khmer Empire controlled a _lot_ more terrain throughout its early history
compared with modern-day Kingdom of Kampuchea (Cambodia). A medieval Khmer
nation allows us to include ancient cities that are today located in Thailand,
Burma, etc.
