Follow-up Comment #1, patch #2535 (project freeciv):
Looking code in question more closely it appeared to me that these submenu
removals are not always required at all as whole point of code blocks is to
replace existing submenu with new one. You don't need to separately remove old
and add new submenu for that but one gtk-call (already in place to replace
NULL-submenu with new one) is enough.
Attached version of the patch takes that into account.
