Details:
This patch removes ftwl-client from distribution (tarball). For compiling to
still work from tarballed sources also all ftwl-client related configure stuff
had to go.
Source directories utilities/ftwl and client/gui-ftwl are still kept under
version control. One step / release cycle. :-)
Within one freeciv release cycle someone has to finally save ftwl-client
project or in 2.5 cycle it will be removed from version control too.
ftwl-client was never usable being only in early development when it ceased.
It has not been in compilable state in years, and before that it was in "keep
it compiling, nothing more" -maintenance for many years. It's soon an decade
since anybody actually worked on it.
Another client on the road to complete removal is native Windows client. It's
not maintained in compiling state any more, and in 2.4 release cycle its
strings are no longer part of freeciv translations. If nobody starts to
maintain it, in 2.5 cycle it will be removed from distribution (same as this
patch does to ftwl-client) and in 2.6 cycle it will be removed even from
version control.
