Follow-up Comment #3, patch #3008 (project freeciv):
What is this control directory intended to be used for on S2_4?
As far as I can tell, it's created but never used -- downloaded .modpack and
modpack.list files are written to a file handle returned from tmpfile()
(automatically deleted on Unix, I think, but not on Windows).
Does it have some future use?
