You report this against TRUNK, but then say that you are using "ser". I assume
you meant that you are using "fcser".

That's readline symbol it fails to find. Can you check that dynamic linker
finds correct readline library:
> ldd ~/soft/freeciv/trunk/server/.libs/libfreeciv-src.so.0
