Follow-up Comment #1, bug #19882 (project freeciv):

Just a note, so *I* won't forget it - this seems to affect gtk2 client too.

The signal is connected to the "changed" signal of the combobox - that one can
be emitted not just on interactive changes, but (AFAICT) also if i.e. model
gets changed, so that the active iter gets invalidated.

It seems that there is a check present, that was supposed to workaround that
(science_report_no_combo_callback), but it looks like it's not working.
