Details:
As pointed out on -i18n, the current followtag translation arrangements (patch
#3475) cause freeciv.pot to have a spurious extra msgid "?vertag:" that's
never used.
Attached patch fixes this, and also adds a log_verbose() message on the client
about the version information from the metaserver.
