Follow-up Comment #1:
New patches for trunk/S2_5/S2_4 rebased to apply on top of cazfi's fix for bug
#21099. (S2_3 will continue to use file #18811.)
Note that this swaps the order of game_init() and settings_init() relative to
bug #21099; I think this is the right way round (and worked in my testing).
