Details:
automake-2.0 will make behavior now available only with "subdir-objects"
option the only supported. Let's add the option (that will be no-op in future
automake, so doesn't hurt) in our TRUNK now to test that we are compliant -
maybe also start making some cleanups that take advantage of that option.
