Follow-up Comment #1:
No other document contains development version number, all others get updated
to future stable version number as soon as development starts (previous
version gets branched out from trunk).
I don't see much extra value in having the development version number in this
one place, requiring us to change it in two points of release cycle.
Attached patch makes it the final version number in all branches, and future
release cycles should update it only in their beginning.
