Hello, Maybe you'll find the SDL version more suitable for touch interaction: it has the buttons you miss to control your units. The Web [1] version seems to work well with tablet devices, but it requires substantial hardware and is still missing features. The Android version is not part of the Freeciv project and hasn't seen an update for months. There are several developers here interested in feedback about improving interaction with the map (and the clients in general), see [2] and [3].
