Details:

Several workers can irrigate a grass tile together, required are 5 work steps
(In all rulesets I think). So 3 workers need 2 turns to finish the work.

While working, still other worker units may adjoin and may accelerate the
work.

Units of the work team may stop prematurely, getting other orders.

Some time ago there was a patch to assure that their work on the tile so far
is not lost.

So, 5 steps needed, 2 workers start, and 1 worker stops after 2 turns getting
other orders, while the 2nd completes the task in the next turn, alone.

AFAIR, it worked like this some time ago.

Now, if I reject 1 worker from a pair of 2 in the state where 1 turn is left
for completion, popup tells me that 3 turns are neccessary for the one worker
left on the job.

Default ruleset (=civ2civ3) V. 2.90.99, makes version a difference here?

Christian
