Follow-up Comment #1:
I now suggest returning to "02-Nov" branching date - only that we are about to
have almost three, not just one, years between branching of S2_6 and S3_0.
S2_6 should by rather mature by then;
- We've got some time to focus on 3.0 development instead of S2_6
- After branching there would be less need to port same fixes to three
branches (S2_6, S3_0, TRUNK)
Being able to focus on S3_0 hopefully enables us to get it released relatively
soon after branching. We should keep that in mind before branching alreade.
This in turn, I hope, will make it possible to go to shorter cycle with S3_1
(and later S3_x branches).
