A new stable release of Freeciv, 2.5.5, is available as source code for download.
This release has miscellaneous minor bugfixes. See the full list of changes: <http://www.freeciv.org/wiki/NEWS-2.5.5>. Download the source tarball from one of our mirrors, linked from <http://www.freeciv.org/download.html>. (Windows packages should follow shortly at the same location.) Also, some new tilesets from GriffonSpade have been published for download in the modpack installer: "Sextant", a larger version of Trident, and a new version of the "Ampliohexbig" tileset.
