Last time you asked about something like this I claimed I was about to work on
DOM-removal and therefore it was better left alone for now. As I have clearly
failed to get to the DOM-removal, you might as well go ahead with this cleanup
now. I am still stuck in TransportMission.

OBTW: One of your recent patches is annoying the Java 7 compiler:
