JNU is not on any metro route. The best is the New Delhi Railway station. The best connectivity is by bus - use route 615, and you cannot go wrong. This runs from Minto Road - which is just outside the Ajmeri-gate side of the New Delhi railway station, right into the campus. It goes via CP-Janpath-Pritviraj Road-Safdarjung tomb-Sarojini Nagar-Africa Avenue-Munirka.
