say: feed two birds with one scone

VMWARE
Offensive Terminology effort
https://news.vmware.com/company/replacing-problematic-terminology

- “female” should be replaced by “jack” or “socket”
- “plug” should be used instead of “male”.
- “she” and “he” be replaced by “they”.

When describing server virtualization include
- replace “kill” with “stop”.

- The software developer will no longer employ the term “eviction,” used to
refer to moving a virtual machine to a new host.

Also in the guide is a recommendation that the word
- “abort” be replaced by “stop” and that
- “segregate” and “segregation” be replaced by “separate” and “separation”.

LINUX kernel changes
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=49decddd39e5f6132ccd7d9fdc3d7c470b0061bb

dont use: masters, slaves or blacklists.

- use alternatives such as “primary” and “secondary” relationships
- refer to “leaders” and “followers”
- or even “directors” and “performers”.
- blacklists are to become either “denylists” or “blocklists”
- whitelists will become “allowlists” or “passlists”.

All these "news" making developments have little or no effect on 'COME' their
society or its fault lines.

What is important is that in our own codebase, we use words, phrases and terms
that come from our OWN culture.

This is a very powerful 'game changer' and will DE-colonize our thinking. It
also helps onboard new contributors in a more friction-free manner.

Given our diverse culture, we have plenty of opportunity to pick up words from
- Arabic
- Farsi
- Turkish
- Urdu
- Amharic
- Swahili
- Malay
- Bahasa Indonesia

Many of us would have noticed that we use the word 'TAFSEER' at the end of our
code and not comment.

We have already done a small-scale experiment with words usage in our Golang
sessions.

warm regards
Saifi.
