Hi,

In both my browsers opera and chromium I am having an issue related to
font.

They are not able to recognise the special symbols or emoticons or any
language other than English.

There is usually the interplay of two concepts ie. locales and fonts.

LOCALES
/etc/locale.gen

locale --all-locales

      ar_SA
      ar_SA.iso88596
      ar_SA.utf8
      C
      C.utf8
      en_US
      en_US.iso88591
      en_US.utf8
      POSIX
      tr_TR
      tr_TR.iso88599
      tr_TR.utf8
      turkish
      zh_CN
      zh_CN.gb18030
      zh_CN.gb2312
      zh_CN.gbk
      zh_CN.utf8

As you can see, on my Archlinux box, I have Arabic, Turkish, Chinese locales
enabled in addition to C, POSIX and UTF-8.

FONTS
The following fonts are recommended for arabic and chinese.

noto-fonts
noto-fonts-cjk
noto-fonts-emoji
noto-fonts-extra

TEST
The following word should be rendered in it's native language

en: Takun
ar: تكون
cn: 是

Please share your findings.

warm regards
Saifi.
