Thank you for pointing this out, Ian. I agree wholeheartedly.
It's not just about "people beyond our mailing list" either -- it's
about whether this mailing list *itself* wants to be "boys-only" or not.
I'm not a fan of boys-only spaces or of language that perpetuates them.
