Another contender that can be purchased today for $40-50 are generic thin clients such as this: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/417964880/2011_hot_24_bit_Thin_Client.html.
They sport 533-800mhz ARM SoC's, 64-128mb ram and a matching amount of flash memory - I've ordered several and their claims of 2gb flash internal memory never pan out. Moreover they feature a host of ports that many of the plug computers don't and come from what seems to be a range of distributors and producers. They come preloaded with Windows CE, but there has be quite a bit of progress at getting Linux onto them (see http://code.jeffkent.net/trac/nc600). _______________________________________________ Freedombox-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/freedombox-discuss
