Would anyone who has tried atapicdd.sys on their ATAPI/IDE CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives and it failed to detect them, please run atapichk.exe from http://www.darklogic.org/fdos/projects/atapicdd/ and send me the results. This is just a DOS executable, so you can pipe the results to a file and send that to me. A:\>atapichk > results.txt A:\>atapichk >> results.txt
If possible, place a CD in the drive 1st, as this also tests reading the disks table of contents. A CD-ROM driver does not need to be loaded, but I don't think will hurt if it is. Sample.txt at the same location demonstrates what is collected, simply the results of several senses, two INQUIRY methods, and the attempted reading of a disc's TOC. Please include in your email where they differ (or if they don't) in what is detected and what should be detected. Thank you in advance.
