A bit too optimistic, isn't it? AFAIK DJGPP libs lacks (obviously) all multiprocessing stuff...

A bit too far here too... very roughly speaking, and in my understanding, CYGWIN is "POSIX (or even LinuxAPI) for Win32"...
And the API is implemented in at least one DLL, that you are unlikely to have in DOS anyway (ok you could try to use WDOSX afterwards to try to make it work in DOS, but this would be a bit too much luck, wouldn't it?)
