If I remember well around '95 I could do that on my 386SX and there was an
UMBPCI-style shareware program called "The Last Byte" that could take
advantage of that. The later Pentium+ (AMD K5/K6-2) BIOSes I bought
couldn't do it anymore as far as I could see.
