[Freedos-devel] The slashdotting

You may have caught the news item on Slashdot, posted on Monday this 
week, about our tenth "birthday".  This was not the volume of traffic we 
have received in previous Slashdot mentions.  Some results on this 
week's slashdotting, if you're curious:

Avg hits per day, nominal: ~50,000 (~35,000 files)
Hits on day #1 of the slashdotting: 134,811 (104,737 files)
Hits on day #2 of the slashdotting: 180,357 (138,645 files)
On day #1, FreeDOS.org delivered almost 900MB of content.
On day #2, it was over 1.2GB of content.
Interestingly, the top referrer for June isn't Slashdot, despite the 
slashdotting we received.  Our top referrer is still 
http://www.google.com/search
