Alain, you must be having a simple machine with no option roms then :)

SCSI takes UMB space, and so do PXE ROM, SerialATA controller, etc.
my last machine only had 4KB UMB space or so..

Yes, almost all are simple machines. For normal corporate lowcost workstation. SCSI never, PXE I don't know what this is, SerialATA didn't come around until now. I try to KIS ;-)
