FreeCOM uses direct hardware access to beep in TAB completion, maybe THAT hangs your system.
The problem not happening in my PC but in office PC, maybe you're right, in office PC press TAB will have a long beep and hangup
Well, I use direct HW access for beep for many years and in many machines and never detected a problem. Mostly I use BC31 sound() and nosound(), but I made my own too, theoreticaly equivalent and installed in over a hundred assorted machines.
Does someone know how FreeCOM does this so that I can compare?
