Maybe a 386SWAT (or if you prefer SoftICE - but 386SWAT is free) wizard can finally find the problem of ZRDX - that would be great.
Unfortunately, the newly crowned FreeDOS machine here decided it will not work with 386SWAT at all, a misfortune that almost moves me to tears. SoftICE for DOS as an end-of-life commercial product is difficult and expensive to acquire, even second-hand.
On the plus side, in the Linux partition of the new machine I have both Bochs and QEMU booting a FreeDOS image, which may prove to be sufficient if TD cannot do the job. Although, to be totally off-topic now, QEMU still doesn't work with any version of the CuteMouse drivers, so test programs cannot use the mouse. I have been unsuccessful locating another generic mouse driver that works with FreeDOS. CuteMouse is too successful and virtually taken over the internet-DOS-using world.
