I am using now WDOX which is fine, is LGPL (100%free) and is the only one that works on my machine Num. 2 (Dell 4100, 950MHz, MS-DOS 7.10) I tested dos4gw and Causeway.

The problem is (Maybe Michael Devore cna holp on this :))
I have a TSR that access a Packet driver with basic IP functionality, this TSR can optionaly buffer packets in XMS. The problem is that when I call the TSR (32bit OpenWatcom 1.3 or WatcomC 11) and it accesses XMS the machines hangs or resets or gives a GPF. Here it only happens on this machine, but it happend in clients machines too. If I use WDOSX it works ok...

I agree with what you say below, but... why recomend dos4gw and not Causeway.

My comment was motivated because Michael is the author of Causeway...

- I understand that you would be much more familiar with it, and
- dos4gw is not free
I remember it's free of use and distribute.

the "w" stands for "Watcom version" My licence explicitely ways that it is royalty-free for owners of WatcomC and it is limited to 32Mb. The full version is called WDOS/X and was US$150.00 last time I checked.
