One thing about this files archive in this site: it seems that when you add files to the original site, they are added, but when you remove them, they are not removed, and thus, sites (such as the KEYB site) get untidy, because old files are still there. Compare:

I guess this will happen if a site admin uses wget to make a mirror, or uses rsync without the '--delete' option to delete missing files.


ibiblio does offer rsync as an option to generate your own mirror, and I mention that to people who want to offer to mirror the FreeDOS archive at ibiblio.
