Hello Erwin,

great - this fixes an (so far unknown) bug, but

introduced a new problem.

so I want to propose a new project (and any serious project should
have this kind of project from the beginning

   FDOSVER

purpose:
   a) document existing, reproducable errors (behaves different from
      MSDOS)

   b) verify, that once working things aren't broken now.

I started this long time ago; download
www.drivesnapshot.de/freedos/fdosver.zip, unpack, and run fdosver.bat

this is a collection of almost trivial batches with a known/expected
outcome.

now it would be great, if steffen as he submitted
Last fix in FreeCOM CVS (changed revision 1.155):

he would present a sample of a program, that now works better,
and Erwin now adds a sample+program, where it works worse.

MANY bugs and fixes should be entered into this databse; so after a
while, there are 100's of batches, and 100's of tiny programs (I
remember some PKZIP with autoformat floppy), that are fixed, should be
fixed,...

but the people working on the kernel/command.com would have some means
to verify, that a new version doesn't break old functionality.

just dreaming of course, and NO, I'm not going to maintain this
project.

tom
