Hello,

I got change another PC to test FreeDOS, because it's faster and have
a USB port. But the latest EMM386 [Nov 15] will hangup when "VDS"
enabled.

UDMA2 doesn't always work with VDS, as a known problem with some environments. Could be a bug in UDMA2, could be a failure to work in a particular upper memory block (not all UMB conflicts are fatal until certain events occur), could be a DMA buffering failure or error in EMM386. It's less likely to be a bug in VDS function 8103h since basic 8103h is simple and UDMA2 doesn't use the cross-boundary bit flags which make it more complicated.

I don't have a solution to fix these incompatibilities, as it could almost literally take having the exact machine setup to duplicate. You could try temporarily excluding everything in upper memory (no UMB's) to rule out the possibility of a UMB/DMA conflict there.
