Would somebody tell me where the COUNTRY.SYS format is explained ? I could not find a COUNTRY subdirectory at www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files nor a COUNTRY.DOC or COUNTRY.TXT in the kernel files. Neither a visit to Aitor Santamaria's site produced any result (I find a description of the NLS file format, but it is not the same thing). Current COUNTRY.SYS does not have a "055" country (mine),but it does not seem too hard to build,if I get the appropriate info. BTW, Freedos is able to use MSDOS 5.0 COUNTRY.SYS file, but it does not find "country 055" in it,albeit it exists (MSDOS uses it); nor is Freedos able to use DRDOS or PCDOS COUNTRY.SYS files (it returns an error message "invalid country file format" when I try ). Regards JAS
