Every time I shell out and return to the IDE in Turbo C++ 1.01, access other sub-menu items like (Option,Directories...), FreeDOS crashes!
The crash can be avoided if EMM386 is not loaded.
I tested in the FreeDOS native mode in two different PCs.
Works okay for me. You'd have to be a lot specific on what the crash is, what your CONFIG setup is, what FreeDOS version you're using, and anything else that may seem pertinent.
If you're compiling and/or running an application in the IDE, a bug can certainly trash memory to create shell-related crashes, as well as other kinds.
