Old Clipper-compiled database programs that were never later updated to use DOS extenders may well lead the list. And the list is mostly the old 3.2 EMS standard which EMM386 has supported forever.
Agreed too. I have one that is very important (to me anyway) Tango PCB and Orcad, for harware design.
BC 3.1's IDE use EMS or XMS. I have been using it with only XMS for years. Has anyone come across a specific need for EMS in BC31?

I agree with Michael that debugging/implementing only features as they become needed is a good way to go (specialy for EMM386 that has lots os unused functions). But reviewing source code indepentantly is highly valuable, and can often catch something important and unexpected. I hope some middle point could be reached ;-)
