In this afternoon I was thinking at FreeDOS.
Because I'm also a sonic fan I've created this nice fan fiction

This story starts when Sonic and Tails think that their old DOS games and
programs were cool.
They try to find their old MSDOS copy on CDROM but when they see that is in
"two pieces"...
They are delused
Sonic: Why we don't call MS for bringing us a new copy of MSDOS?
Tails: Good idea. But... how much is MSDOS?
Sonic: I think $20.
Tails: OK.
Sonic: I call MS.

Sonic: Please MS folks, give to us a new copy of MSDOS! Please say me how much
it costs.
MS Centralin: Hey, guy, MSDOS was deleted from our products! DOS has no market
and is obsolete!
Please try the new Wingdows XP , easy to use, productive, etc. etc. bla
bla, IUI, easy installers...
... Remember,this is not true... OOOPS...
The next year will be launched TC! A new technology that makes the use of
the computer more easy!
... No, it only makes us more money! OOOPS...

Sonic: OK, Tails. Find an alternative DOS on the web, then.
Five minutes later...
Tails: Go here to see Sonic! There is an altenative DOS called FreeDOS!
Sonic: No, probably is a warez!
Tails: No, FreeDOS is legal! And open source! Read this.
Sonic: You're OK! Download it now!
Ten minutes later...
Tails: Sonic! The CD image is downloaded. Now I burn it.
The terminal of the Linux computer where Tails is seated: cdrecord dev=0,0,0
-v FDBOOTCD.ISO
One minute later...
Tails: Burned! I have an old hard-disk. I wanna to mount it on this PC because
there are no free partitions.
Sonic: OK, do it!
Tails: Now halt!
Halting...
Mounting the HDD...
Power on the PC...
Tails: I'm now setting the bios setting correctly for booting the CD...
Tails: The CD is booted, now. Now I install it.
Tails: Go here Sonic! Is installed! Take me a floppy of any game.
Sonic: This game would be OK.
FreeDOS: C:\> A:\acorn.exe
Tails: Is 6 times fast than MSDOS!!!
Sonic: Is true! IS TRUE! IS REALLY TRUE!
Tails: Aaah, this game is buggy! Is crashed!!!!
But... what is it? The computer isn't hanged?
Yuppie, this alternative DOS is also more stable!
Sonic: Don't use MS software! Use open source software!

NOTES: Tails is also called Miles, that is his true name, the complete name is
Miles Prower.
Is called "Tails" because it has two tails that permits he to fly. But
without MS software! :)))))
I use everyday linux and sometimes *BSD and FreeDOS. I don't use Windows
like many Sonic fans does!
