um, has anyone heard from Steffen this year? is he still maintaining FreeCom? who exactly should make this change? and anyone know the reason why the compile decision to not include loadfix with xms-swap version (size issue? incompatibility? didn't think it was needed?)? I've asked this question before, but so far all I've heard is he is busy and so doesn't have the time just now, which I fully understand (I've been working on atapicdd for how many years now :-) but still leaves me with unanswered questions of 'who do I send potential patches to?', 'who should release builds with needed fixes?', and 'what changes (like build fixes) if any are ok to commit to FreeCom's cvs?'

Yes I know I maintain a patchset for the current freecom cvs head, but that [FreeCom] is a beast [complex project with lots of little compatibility issues] I'm happy to not be a maintainer of.

As to why I haven't done this, well, I'm lazy and no one has bugged me enough to try, well that and I've never in my 15 (give or take) years of DOS usage ever had a reason to use loadfix or equiv command.

Just curious,
Jeremy
