you are correct. 'affects' or 'has effect on' anyone know the behaviour of DIR /P on different command interpreters? SET DIRCMD=/OGN /P DIR /P DIR /-P DIR /P in FreeCOM flips/negates the setting as dictated in DIRCMD.
