Greetings,
I hope this is an appropriate mailing list, please don't hurt me if not :)
I just ported the utility "SVGATextMode" and accompanying tools to DOS
as I really liked the 100x75-mode on my notebook which I have with
Linux. The DOS-versions seem to work on my machine, but I'd like to get
feedback from other people if it works there, too. Although I am quite
sure, I didn't break any hardcore-VGA-code, please note that this is
beta quality. I suggest to just play around with these tools, if you
have some expierence with them already under Linux. Please, I will not
be responsible for any breaks. Having said this, I hope there is still
someone willing to check this URL :)

To install, just put the Textconfig-file somewhere in your PATH. No need
anymore for this annoying "\etc\"-directory.
If you think, this could be a contribution to FreeDos, I'd be really
happy. There shouldn't be any licence-problems, as it was build from the
current Debian-version-sources. I am in contact with the maintainer to
include the neccasary patches to make it DOS-buildable again, so the
source will be available, too.
I'd be happy to get some response/reports/questions :)
Have a nice day,
Wolfram
