I have the same problem with Italian (choice 12 or 72), the PC it's not
actually hung.
The problem is that translated strings don't show up, so you see a void
screenful and then CHOICE waits for a key.
It seems that somethinmg goes wrong with the environment, as after the
PC "hangs" if I press Ctrl-C to exit the batch and I type SET I get:

The variable NLSPATH is incorrectly set to A:\freedos
when it should be X:\FREEDOS\setup\NLS.
The problem is that when I go sinlge-step through the batch file all
goes well, and I get translated strings. Strange enough.
Tried with Bochs and Virtual PC 2004.
