I'm no expert on the build process, but with regards to this environment space
error message, have you tried using the "SET" command to see how many
environment variables you have set and how large they are, and/or have you
tried e.g. "COMMAND /E:4096" to start up a command prompt with a larger
environment space? In fact, for some strange reason, I recently had trouble
related to environment space under Windows XP where simply starting up the
program under a new instance of COMMAND.COM, e.g. "COMMAND /C SH.EXE", resolved
it, even though I didn't specify a different environment size.
