My CLOCK program (a TSR that shows a digital clock on the screen at all times)
monitors a lot of video configuration data (mono/color, number of rows/columns,
text vs. graphics modes, video pages, dual monitors, etc.) in "real time". If
the active video card is not at least an EGA and the screen is in a text mode,
CLOCK ignores what's in the BIOS and always assumes 25 rows. You can download
the source code from my web site if you want to see the details
(http://bretjohnson.us).
