While it is not often the case, I agree with the harsh tone in this case: Also according to earlier talk (including e.g. Japheth, as far as I remember) about the FDISK troubles, the code style seems to be more suitable for obfuscated C code contests, so one has to emphasize who has NOT written it ;-) This might be related to adding LBA and other features later, while the app probably was not very well structured anyway? Great that some of the most evil bugs in FDISK are finally getting some opposition from some real experts like Tom, with bitterness about the state of the things or without.
