Hi Eric and all, I ran a couple more tests.
With MSCDEX under FreeDOS and SHSUCDX under MSDOS. Both showed Drive X: using INT 2F,1500. Went back to just FreeDOS and SHSUCDX, and it showed INT 2F,1500. Basically, then played with some config settings until I got to this point…. When SHSUCDX /QQ /D3 is run prior to loading SHSUCDX as the driver, INT 2F,1500 reports no CD. Remove the initial, reserve space and INT 2f,1500 returns Drive X:.
