Well, I have a DJGPP install from some time ago and it has G++ 8, so no
doubt you'll have support for modern C++ with it. Of course, the usual
proviso about using DJGPP applies.
I actually switched from learning C++ to regular C because of FreeDOS. Of
course this was over 20 years ago.
