Just had a quick read over that one and noticed one strange thing
mentioned. Apparently the CPU detection in the installer would only
recognize an 80186 even though apparently installation on an 80286 was
attempted... :?
That leads to the question which 286-specific software we have.
I think only FDXMS286. For the rest, the next thing after 8086
is 386. We may also have some stuff which needs floating point,
in particular games? And UMBPCI and UHDD which work better if
you have PCI ;-) But most of our software will safely detect
whether or not the required hardware is there, and just skip
loading if it is not.
