Hi everyone

I mentioned in some other emails that I plan to do an ebook to
celebrate the 28th anniversary of FreeDOS. A number of folks responded
to the survey to volunteer to be interviewed. I also wanted to share
the interview questions here for anyone who might like to respond too:

You can write as much or as little as you like in your email
interview. You can reply here on the list, or send to my personal
email at [email protected]. (Sending to my personal email is
preferred; it's easier to track responses that way.)

Here are the questions for you to respond to. Feel free to skip any
questions you aren’t comfortable with. I’d appreciate your answer by
Friday, July 1.

What is your earliest/first memory of using DOS? This is basically a
"how did you start using DOS" question.

How did you first get interested in FreeDOS? How did you hear about
it? What was the first thing you did/tried on FreeDOS?

How do you run FreeDOS today? If it's a virtual machine, tell us about
it and how you set up the VM. If it's real hardware, tell us about the
setup.

What's cool about FreeDOS 1.3? What features do you use the most?

Why do you run FreeDOS in 2022?

What programs do you like to run on FreeDOS? Do you have a favorite
app, or favorite game? If you could take only one DOS program with you
to a desert island, what would it be?

What's the coolest program you've written for DOS? Could be any
version or distro of DOS here.

What's different about writing programs for DOS than another operating
system like Windows or Linux?
